BECE 2027 3 March, Eskimofabriek, Ghent This years participating companies The Bioscience Engineering Career Event is co-organised by the student associations VLK and the alumni association ABIG, linked to the faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University. The goal of this career event is to bring companies of all possible industries together with the bio-engineers and the industrial engineers of the future. 60+ companies will attend the job fair. We strive to help you in your search for your first job or in finding an interesting internship . Where? The BECE 2027 will take place at Eskimofabriek, Wiedauwkaai 25 in Ghent . The venue is located near Campus Coupure and is easily accessible by bike or public transport. Please note that there will be no student parking available at the venue, but you can park nearby at Galveston praking (Hurstweg 8, 9000 Gent) Other ways to get to the jobfair: Shuttles : departing from campus Coupure & campus Schoonmeersen between 12h15-15u30 and 17u15-20u15 - Provided by ABIG Bike: bikeparking will be available on the site Public Transport: take tram T4 to Muidebrug, Gent. From there, it is only an 8 minute walk When? BECE 2027 takes place on 3/03/2026 Planning of the day: 12H45-15H15 Ten companies will introduce themselves in a pitch of 10 minutes. The presentations take place in the Spazio24, a beautiful venue, located right across from the building where the job fair will take place. 2-6 PM The Job Fair, where students can visit the company booths, will take place in De Kleine Fabriek, an event hall located in the Eskimofabriek. 6-8 PM Networking reception. Here, recruiters can interact with the students in a more informal setting. What? Apart from the fair itself, we are organising some extra activities that can help you in your job or internship search: 10 companies introduce themselves in pitches of 10 minutes . Registration (which is mandatory) is possible here . Professional photo: A professional photographer will be present to take high-quality photos. After the job fair, you will be able to access your photo online. Networking reception after the jobfair where you can interact in an informal way with the recruiters from the different companies. FAQ How do I register for the fair? All information can be found on this page What is the price to attend? Students can attend BECE free from charge, however registration is mandatory. What time should I be there? The company pitches start at 12h45. Be on time! The fair starts at 14h The networking reception starts at 18h Where is the job fair? Eskimofabriek, Wiedauwkaai 25, 9000 Gent What is the dress code? Don't worry, there won't be a fashion police at the door and you don't need to dress as if you are going to a ball. However, we do recommend to dress a bit more formal, like you would dress to go to work, as a good first impression could make the difference. Is food provided? During the job fair, we do not provide food. There will be coffee and soft-drinks. During the networking reception, we provide drinks and appetizers. Do you still have some unanswered questions? This is possible via clicking on this link. 02 Make an account on the platform, or log into your existing account 03 In order to successfully register for the event, you will need to add your full name, current year of study and education program to your profile. CurrVit allows you to add more information about yourself, which you will be able to share with attending companies during the event. You can add this information now, or complete your profile later on. 04 Via the button on the top of the page (‘back to event’) , you will be able to continue to the last step, where you give permission to share your profile with BECE and its attending companies. Select the box to accept that your data is shared, then click ‘join’. Your registration is now complete 05 In the site menu on the top of the page, select ‘Groups’. Under joined groups you should be able to see that you have joined the Bioscience Engineering Career Event, organized by VLK. 06 Congratulations, you are now successfully registered for BECE 2026!
