BECE 2026

4 March, Eskimofabriek, Ghent 

The Bioscience Engineering Career Event is co-organised by the student associations VLK  and the alumni association ABIG, linked to the faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University.

 

The goal of this career event is to bring companies of all possible industries together with the bio-engineers and the industrial engineers of the future. 60+ companies will attend the job fair. We strive to help you in your search for your first job or in finding an interesting internship.

Where?

The BECE 2026 will take place at Eskimofabriek, Wiedauwkaai 25 in Ghent. The venue is located near Campus Coupure and is easily accessible by bike or public transport.

Please note that there will be no student parking available at the venue, but there are several parking options nearby.

We will keep you updated with the best ways to reach the location as the event approaches.

When?

BECE 2026 takes place on 4/03/2026

Planning of the day:
 

1-3 PM Ten companies will introduce themselves in a pitch of 10 minutes. The presentations take place in the Spazio24, a beautiful venue, located right across from the building where the job fair will take place.

2-6 PM The Job Fair, where students can visit the company booths, will take place in De Kleine Fabriek, an event hall located in the Eskimofabriek.

 

6-8 PM Networking reception. Here, recruiters can interact with the students in a more informal setting.

What?

Apart from the fair itself, we are organising some extra activities that can help you in your job or internship search:

  • 10 companies introduce themselves in pitches of 10 minutes. These presentations start at 1 PM

  • mock job interview and LinkedIn feedback - by Hays. Registration (which is mandatory) will be possible soon.

  • CV-feedback - by Randstad. Registration (which is mandatory) will be possible soon.

  • networking reception after the jobfair where you can interact in an informal way with the recruiters from the different companies

  • How do I register for the fair?

  • What is the price to attend?

Students can attend BECE free from charge, however registration is mandatory.
 

  •  What time should I be there?

The company pitches start at 13h. Be on time!

The fair starts at 14h

The networking reception starts at 18h

  • Where is the job fair?

  • What is the dress code?

​Don't worry, there won't be a fashion police at the door and you don't need to dress as if you are going to a ball. However, we do recommend to dress a bit more formal, like you would dress to go to work, as a good first impression could make the difference.

 

  • Is food provided?

During the job fair, we do not provide food. There will be coffee and soft-drinks.

During the networking reception, we provide drinks and appetizers.
