EVENT
The Bioscience Engineering Career Event is co-organised by the student associations VLK and LILA and the alumni association Verbond, linked to the faculty of Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University.
The goal of this career event is bringing companies of all possible industries together with the bio-engineers and the industrial engineers of the future. 70+ companies will build their booth and welcome you for a conversation or maybe a job opportunity.
BECE 2022 takes place in ICC Ghent, Familie van Rysselberghedreef 2 in Ghent. It’s located in the Citadelpark, near the railway station Gent-Sint-Pieters.
How to prepare for BECE?

Take a look at the company pages. You can find them on this website at ‘Companies’. Write down which companies are interesting for you.

Each company answered the same interview questions, so you can compare the different company cultures. You can find the interview brochure at 'more' and 'interviews'.

Registration in advance for students is not necessary!

To optimise your visit on BECE, make an account on Scanfactor and upload your CV (an up-to-date version!). With your unique QR code on the Scanfactor app or in your browser, recruiters can easily scan your profile and save your information.
Planning of the day!
1-2 PM Ten companies will introduce themselves in a pitch of 10 minutes. The presentations take place in 2 rooms: the Jan van Eyck and Hubert van Eyck on the first floor. The planning of these companies will follow.
1-2 PM Company pitches of 10 minutes each:
Round 1: Dow & Deloitte
Round 2: Arvesta & Sweco
Round 3: Bio Base Europe & Vandemoortele
Round 4: United Experts & Ingrizo
Round 5: Möbius & Clarebout
2-6 PM Job fair where students can visit the company stalls. The fair takes place on the ground floor and first floor of the ICC. Bigger and smaller company booths alternate and will all welcome you to start a conversation.
6-8 PM Networking reception for both companies and students. Here you can ask further questions to the recruiters or evaluate the fair with your friends and a drink.
The planning and possibilities of the event depend on the valid corona measures on that moment. We do everything to make a physic job fair possible. We keep you posted if anything changes about the organization of the event.
