UGain is the department for lifelong learning of the faculties ‘Engineering & Architecture and ‘Bioscience engineering’ at Ghent Univerity.
Every year, hundreds of engineers and bioscience engineers graduate from our faculties. Well-equipped with their diploma they’ll support our companies and economy.
Our education system continues to rank among the best in the world. However, we cannot rest on our laurels, neither as a society nor as individuals.
Education is no longer limited to those five years spent at university or college. Rapidly evolving technologies constantly demand that we continue to update our knowledge.
UGain meets this need. The UGent Academy for Engineers offers courses that reflect the knowledge and research of the Faculty of Bioscience engineering and the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture.
Through the UGain steering committee, with representatives from both the business and academic worlds, we stay in tune with the needs of companies and the job market. This allows us to create well-founded programs that enable both individuals and businesses to effectively respond to the challenges of the 21st century.
